Water Ice for the Ocean
Summer 2010

ETA is having a water ice sale throughout the summer months to raise funds to assist with the oil spill recovery efforts in the Gulf Coast.  All proceeds will be donated to two organizations:  Oceana, which is spearheading ocean research and cleanup efforts, and the Audubon Society, which is providing widespread help to heal wildlife injured or incapacitated by the spill.  To learn more about these organizations, please click on the following links:  http://na.oceana.org/ and http://www.audubon.org/.

NTR Computer Thrift Store Volunteer Day
Nonprofit Technology Resources (http://ntronline.org/) serves low-income Philadelphia residents by recycling used computers, providing hands-on training and assisting community-based services organizations to use computers in their work.

During this event, which is on Saturday, 9/26 ETA volunteers will help NTR sort and organize donated equipment so it can be distributed to those in need. NTR relies almost entirely on volunteer support to carry out its mission, so even small investments of time like this are critical to their success.

Toys for Tots Collection Drive

They ship over 1,000 care packages five to six times a year to those Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Learn more about The Care Package Project.
