Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation circuits are excellent for taking advantage of idle bandwidth. Today's traditional fixed functionality circuits do not allow for this flexibility.

Here are some insights to follow to help figure out if DBA is right for you:

1. The dynamic T1s sold by carriers today are actually VoIP circuits.

2. Some types of devices do not tolerate the compression being used in VoIP, particularly single line devices like faxes, modems & credit card machines.

3. Do not use a dynamic circuit if you send faxes from your desktop.

4. Many customers can avoid installing a new circuit because of a higher internet need by simply moving to a dynamic circuit.

5. Dynamic circuits have the ability to be bonded to create a much larger circuit that dynamically allocates bandwidth.
