A group of Mitel MiVoice Office (formerly known as 5000/HX) customers gathered together on Tuesday, March 25th at ETA’s headquarters for an informational session.  Attendees learned about the latest features and technology available on Mitel’s most recent software release for their MiVoice Office communications platform.

Many Mitel representatives were in attendance at the event including: Edward Blanchard – Channel Account Manager, Tim Gaines – VP of Sales, US, Caribbean, and Latin America, and Thomas Henkel – Northeast Regional Director.  Gaines kicked off the event with a captivating speech about some of the biggest technology trends affecting the business world today.  In particular, he explained how Mitel plans to integrate these trends into their products and services to keep their customers current and relevant.

ETA’s Sales Engineer, Heather Pearson, led the main presentation by explaining some of the most commonly used features and applications on the platform, including Dynamic Extension, Hotdesking, MeetMe Conferencing, and the MiCollab Client (formerly UCA). Within the presentation, Heather Pearson conducted an interactive session to provide attendees with an opportunity to view all of the latest advancements made to the user and administrator web-based portals.  The discussion wrapped up with a brief talk about the best ways to ensure business continuity when dealing with communications outages.

Following the presentation, guests were treated to a free lunch coupled with a meet & greet session with their ETA team.
