For the seventh year in a row, Expert Technology Associates joined the students of James Dobson Elementary School in Manayunk, PA to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss.

Philadelphia Reads Day marks the Philadelphia area’s observance of Read Across America, which celebrates the March 2nd birthday and legacy of Theodore Geisel (better known as Dr. Seuss) by spreading the word about the fun and significance of reading. Read Across America was started in March of 1998 by the National Education Association as a way to celebrate reading.

ETA volunteers arrived at James Dobson Elementary School on Monday, March 2nd around 11am to read Oh, the Places You’ll Go! to each class of students.  Following the reading, ETA’s volunteers discussed the themes of the story with students by encouraging them to tackle all of life’s ups and downs while remembering to always find the success that lies within.  Each classroom was also given a Dr. Seuss birthday cake to enjoy.

The James Dobson choir and dance teams treated the ETA volunteers to a song and dance to wrap up the day’s festivities.
